The Hôtel Drouot is Paris's main auction house. Located in Rue Drouot in the 9th arrondissement, it is one of the world's main market places for art, in particular for antiques, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, Chinese and Japanese art, books and primal arts. A number of antiquaries work here. You can hunt out antiques at the auction house or in the surrounding area.

The network of covered passageways is one of the treasures of the quarter and stretches all the way to the Palais Royal.
The oldest which dates back to the end of the 18th century is the Passage des Panoramas, the others are the Jouffroy and Verdeau passageway, the long Choiseul passageway, the Colbert and the Vivienne gallery and the narrow Pavillons, Caire, Ponceau, Choiseul, Vendôme, Brady and Prado passageways. They offer the historical charm of the Belle Epoque and relate two centuries of Parisian history.
From Grands Boulevard metro to Palais Royal

A 10 min walk from the Hotel GOTTY is the mainly pedestrianised Montorgueil quarter which offers a wide selection of restaurants
